BATTLE OF THE BANDS
BUFFALO MUSIC INDUSTRY
AWARDS ITS OWN

Parity was the theme last night when the 16th annual Buffalo Music Awards honored musicians representing a wide variety of bands during ceremonies in the Funhouse in Lackawanna…
Taylor Made Jazz took home the most honors with three for the best R&B Group, bassist (Jennifer May) and drummer (Robert Garrett)

Other bands winning two awards were Black Widow, Gamalon, High Wire, Hit ‘n Run, Project R&B, and Strictly Hip. Kevin Blakita of High Wire won his third straight Best Rock Guitar award, while his band was honored for the second consecutive year as Rock Band (cover).

The original honors especially displayed a balance of talent, with 14 different bands represented in 15 categories. Best Band honors went to Seven Day Faith (rock), Stemm (hardcore), Irving Klaws (garage/punk), Steam Donkeys (Americana/roots/folk) and Gamalon (jam/instrumental).
